Ovarian Cancer Canada’s OvCAN Initiative

Saturday, November 2, 2019

Shaw Centre Room 107

In March 2019, the federal government allocated $10 million to Ovarian Cancer Canada to support its plan to advance new treatments for ovarian cancer. Based on a high-level strategic plan that was developed in consultation with ovarian cancer researchers nation-wide, Ovarian Cancer Canada has launched OvCAN, a three-phase strategy to test and improve treatments available to ovarian cancer patients. Priority 1 aims to fully characterize model systems and to make them readily available to the ovarian cancer research community, in turn, supporting Priority 2 (testing of new therapeutics) and Priority 3 (clinical trials focused on ovarian cancer).

In this open meeting, Ovarian Cancer Canada will share more details about the OvCAN initiative, and welcomes feedback and input from the research community.
